This can cause damage to your enamel, which is the outermost layer of your teeth that protects them and gives them their brilliant shine. And needless to say, the longer or more frequent this exposure is, the more harm that can be done!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combine this with the festive aspect of Halloween\u2014late nights and costume parties, time spent away from home, and frequently snacking or sipping beverages, and you have a recipe for dental disaster if you aren\u2019t careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for Maintaining a Healthy Smile During Spooky Season<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t have to skip Halloween just to protect your smile; it\u2019s all about making smart choices and practicing good habits! Here are some tips to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid sticky, chewy, hard, and sour treats. These types of candies tend to stay in the mouth longer, exposing your teeth to sugary particles over time and causing more damage to your enamel.
