Growing up, Dr. Long bounced between dream careers, from a waitress on wheels to an astronaut and a doctor. All that time, her parents supported these dreams and gave her the courage to pursue her ultimate passion.
As a child, Dr. Long underwent years of dental work, from orthodontics to gum surgeries, so she was no stranger to the transformations dental care could offer. But it wasn’t until after her hometown dentist restored her broken front tooth to like-new condition during a break in college that her mind was made up.
Dr. Long earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Since then, she’s exemplified her belief in staying current on all the latest technology and techniques in the field by taking over 600 hours of continuing education.
She’s also studied under top instructors at the Spear Education Center in Scottsdale, AZ, is currently enrolled in the Dawson Academy’s advanced cosmetic dentistry program, and regularly attends high-level conferences such as the Chicago Midwinter Meeting and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry conference. Outside the office, Dr. Long enjoys a joyful life with her husband Ryan (also the practice’s business manager), their two cats Kismet and Kylo Roo, and their rescue dog Lulu. She’s an animal lover, an avid reader, and a frequent traveler with a special love for the outdoors.
